Tips on monitoring database replication efficiency in Microsoft Configuration Manager

Microsoft’s own Rob York just published a great post over on The Manageability Guys blog that takes a look at DRS replication within System Center 2012 Configuration Manager and discusses some of the impacts that you might see in a busy site.  If you are running a single site environment then this article is not for you, however if you run a CAS and multiple primary sites then you might just see some issues. 

The scenario he addresses is one where the site is busy for a protracted period of time. For example, if you migrate 50,000 new clients into your site in five days then you wouldn’t necessarily be surprised to find that the site becomes very busy while it process those new clients, but your environment should recover fairly quickly. If, however, the activity goes on for some time you may be experiencing a problem and some of the simple checks in his article will likely be of help.
